On the first night of the NBC, delegates celebrated 15 years of Numsa. Numsa veterans, Bernie Fanaroff, (Numsa's past head of organising) and Les Kettledas (Numsa's past head of collective bargaining) shared their memories of their time in Numsa.
Awards were presented to Alec Erwin, Bernie Fanaroff, Les Kettledas and other national Numsa figures, many of whom were not present.
Tony Kgobe, CEO of Numsas Investment Company (NIC) presented an award to the current National Office Bearers and the past NOBs to commemorate 15 years.
