More play………

Ama Z3 from Zola in Soweto took the stage on the second evening.

I didn’t understand what was happening but I enjoyed the township Pantsula Dance. The audience was also laughing and dancing but was confused about the story behind the dance, but nevertheless sat back and enjoyed the action.

It was only when speaking to the leader of the group that I was clarified.

“When women are working, men are just abusing children,” he told me.

The dancing mime was about an unemployed man who spends his wife’s hard earned money on gambling and drinking. This man went to borrow money from the loan shark, and when he did not have money to pay him back, the lender ended up stabbing him to death. .

African Child led by Mbulelo Mesatywa and Vukani Khoza followed Ama Z3.

Formed in 1999, the group is sponsored by Converse Dickies (clothing Company). They work with many artists like Lebo Matosa, Zola, Mzambiya, and they have also shot videos with these artists.

The young Kwaito star Msawawa is a product of the group. They also went on to perform overseas in countries like Sweden , Holland and other African States like Botswana .

The group consists of very young talented dancers.

The Third group was Amaqabane led by the legendary Blondie Makhele. This group needs no introduction. The delegates were familiar with the songs that he sung and their spirits were lifted as songs that he sung were close to the congress vibe.
