NUMSA TO HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE DECSIONS OF ITS NATIONAL BARGAINING CONFERENCE!

IRVIN JIM, the General Secretary of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) will be addressing members of the media today Thursday 07 April 2011, NUMSA Head Office, 153 Corner Bree and Gerard Sekota Streets, Newtown, Gauteng.
The purpose of the Press Conference will be to announce the out-comes of our National Bargaining Conference, particularly on our wage demands to ESKOM, steel, iron and engineering ruling oligarchy; Concessions that need to be made to workers and the poor by the ANC-led Alliance in order to retain its power at local government level amidst chaos in our communities and structures; Continued obsession with inflation targeting by South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and redefining its role towards decent work creation; Decisive stance on Swaziland and Libya by our democratic government.
