House agreements incorporation Numsa has requested the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC) to convene a national meeting of all House Agreement (HA) companies ( Hillside, Iscor, Malesela etc) to talk about the question of incorporation into the main agreement.
This is in line with Numsa proposals to incorporate the big companies into the Main Agreement. The meeting will include shop stewards and employer representatives from HA companies as well as trade union officials.
New names for Ekurhuleni localsNumsa’s Ekurhuleni region has renamed its local offices to give recognition to leaders in the region that made an important contribution to the workers’ struggle. With the exception of Piet Pheko, all other comrades have died.
