NUMSA to march on Workers Day against Isolomzi Security company for non-compliance

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) will be marching against Isolomzi Security, which is a security company contracted to the Plettenburg Bay Municipality. This security company grossly exploits workers. They often do not pay workers their salaries, and in some cases they pay only part of workers wages. The last time workers were paid their salaries in full was in November 2024.

Isolomzi security is not registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and is also not paying any of the statutory deductions such as provident fund and also medical insurance, which is required by the National Bargaining council for the Private Security sector. Isolomzi will deduct the money but they do not pay the money over to the service provider – this is fraud!

Our members will be marching tomorrow to hand over a memorandum of demands to the Municipal manager at Plettenburg bay municipality.

The media is invited, details below:

Date: 1 May 2025
